“What we did on our summer vacations: Member Show ‘n Tell”

So fun to start out in the fall with a  Member Show 'n Tell.  If you would like me to add either a picture or a description to this blog please email me.  We can't have too many pictures. Starting out is an overall view of all the wonderful and diversified projects.

Nancy D.

Nancy made this basket out of a very old tattered quilt,  she won a ribbon at MLH .
Nancy then got to pick  a gift, she chose the wonderful scarf below.

Nancy also experimented with eco-printing and ice dyeing, on several different fibers.

She also took a felting class from Suzanne D. and made this bird.

Judy

Judy thinks her new craft to love is felting.  She had a good time taking classes and experimenting with wool, silks and other fibers.  Her vase and slippers you can see above.

Patsy

Patsy made this red and white quilt. Very nice.

Kim

Kim had fun appliqueing and embroidering.

Wendy

Wendy finished this National Quilt Museum BOM, with a few changes to better suit her style.

She also finished quilting this Color Swatch Quilt, pattern from Modern Quilt Studio.

Priscilla

Priscilla wove this tapestry, from a picture of a snow fence.

She also did a lot of experimenting with shibori dyeing and hand stitching.

Miranda

Miranda found a fun book of knitting stitches and is experimenting with those.

Jane

Jane made these wonderful scarves in a class, ecoprinting with color.

Alice

Alice was eager to try some dyeing with rusty objects. Such a unique piece
.

Jennifer

So many ideas, so little time.

Jennifer experimented with lots of different dyeing techniques.
