Fabric Challenge Pieces

Jennifer Gould's embroidered and beaded wall piece,
entitled "Jazz Notes in Winter," from Group D fabric.

Sherri Sirko quilted her Group A fabric into
a small wall hanging using stenciling, printing,
painting, and dyeing.

Jonetta Brown created "Little Devils Climbing Out" using
Super Sculpey Clay for the faces, applique, embroidery, and
needle felting from her Group C fabric

Alexa Urquhart's "Garden Coat" for her dog uses
her Group B fabric with stamped paw prints and
polar fleece.  It's displayed on a fabric cat sculpture.

Alice Breese created "Aqua Kimono" wall piece with her
Group B fabric, adding blue paint, stamping and stitching.

Sue Vegter hand wove a table runner base to display
the Group A images and added more needle felting.

Marty (Martha) Swank's "Box of Hope" features
a Hope Stone on top.  These stones are given
to cancer survivors at the American Cancer
Society's Relay for Life.  The box is intended
to store thoughts, wishes, dreams and prayers of Hope.
Painted cheesecloth was fused to the back of the fabric
(Group A) and then fused to craft weight interfacing.  After
construction, the box was embellished with a green Hope
Stone and beaded fringe hanging from the front of the lid.

Pris Lynch had a half yard of Group D fabric since
she worked so hard dyeing all the 4 groups' fabric with the
initial dark gray grid and having only 3 people working on
Group D fabric.  Her quilt is a very long rectangle with
machine piecing and machine quilted stitching in long rows.
