becoming a fiber artist, choosing textiles as her art-making genre, and how her
spirituality is a common thread in creating art quilts. Her actual art quilts will be shown during
the lecture and hands-on-the-quilts is expected. An award-winning professional fiber artist,
Walburn has had a career making and teaching art for thirty-five years. Currently
she expresses her art through the art-quilt genre in a style that is reflective
of abstract expressionism. Her methods are screen printing with Procion dyes,
digital printing with an Epson inkjet printer and machine stitching.
