“Judy Rosbury: Playing with Prefelts”

 

Judy signed up for Kathy Forzley’s “Surface Design & Dimension Using Prefelts” at the June 2024 Summer Workshops and received an MLH scholarship to take it.  Judy did a wonderful presentation of what she did in the workshop showing several pieces that she made there as well as many needle-felted works she’s done since then. 

The following similar projects were made in the same class by either Nancy or Lin

Judy also had some amazing Show and Tell items.

Judy bought the pottery piece and then felted mushrooms to fit.

This is one of Priscilla's Transparent Tapestries.  Note the wonderful shirt she is wearing
from her dyed-stamped fabric.

Priscilla was also experimenting with different knitting techniques.

Marie is always experiementing with different fibers.

Kim wove this great 2 sided piece and also the pillows.

Susan knit this sweater from yarn from Iceland.

She also wove all these scarves out of warp she dyed.

Lin made this bag with a painting technique and the sun.

Julie wool felted and then quilted this piece.

Julie had a little help from her dog on this one.

And Wendy made a felted fungi in an online class taught
by Sophie Wheatley.
