“Texture, Function & Form – A Feltmaker’s Journey” with Kathy Forzley

The Lakeshore Fiber Arts Guild’s next program meeting will be on Wed., April 3, featuring Kathy Forzley presenting “Texture, Function & Form – A Feltmaker’s Journey” at the Holland Area Arts Council, 150 East 8^th St., Holland, MI 49423, starting promptly at 6:30pm with social time beginning at 6pm.  Guests are asked to pay $10 to defray the speaker’s costs. 

A Grand Rapids resident, Kathy Forzley will talk about her journey as a feltmaker:  a love for incorporating texture in her work, a passion for creating functional pieces of wearable fiber art, and the exploration of 3-D forms in feltmaking and fiber art.  Many of her garments and pieces will be on hand as well as a brief large-screen show illustrating her feltmaking process.

Lakeshore Fiber Arts Guild members are unique individuals with a wide range of interests and experience in many areas including weaving, spinning, papermaking, dyeing, garment design and sewing, quilting, beading, dollmaking, surface design, wearable art clothing design, and many more.
