The Lakeshore Fiber Arts Guild’s next meeting will be on
Wed., May 3, for the guild’s Annual Auction to raise money for its monthly
programs of innovative and stimulating speakers from the world of textiles and
fiber arts. The guild welcomes the public to join
us in a lively bidding and purchasing of “our junk to your treasure” items from
our members’ studios. The auction is
at the Holland Area Arts Council, 150 East 8th St., Holland, MI
49423, starting promptly at 6:30pm with social time beginning at 6pm. Come with cash and your checkbook!
Members
of the guild are cleaning out their studios of unfinished projects, fabric
fabric and more fabric of all kinds, knitting and weaving yarn, patterns
(knitting, bag/purses), some kimono, beaded fabric such as one on silk satin,
baskets, needle-point canvas, books on knitting and decorating fabric and more,
shade-loving plants, a Craft Pasta Machine, Fimo clay,
ribbon, silk flowers, leather scraps, organza and tulle, heavy clear plastic,
stitchery frames, silk/cotton sweater, wood beads, and so much more.
The
Lakeshore Fiber Arts Guild invites anyone interested in the textile fiber arts
to their monthly program meetings held the first Wednesday of each month at the
Holland Area Arts Council. For more
