Just a reminder that the program for the March 6 meeting is indigo dyeing the MLH swatches. The "program" begins at 6:30. A Show 'n Tell table will be available as well as Barb Norlin's hospitality table in the big gallery. The indigo dyeing will be done in the kitchen (not in the Studio next door).
So, bring your stitched (pulled and tied) piece wet and soaking in a ziplock bag. It needs to be tagged MLH with your Last Name. If you have small
pieces of your own you want to dye, bring them--- also wet in the
ziplock bag. Those will be dyed after all the swatches come out of the
vat.
Jonetta will take the dyed pieces home and
wash all of them, and bring them back to distribute at the next meeting
in April. During the April 3 business meeting, Pris Lynch will
demonstrate how to remove the stitches. Members can then take them
home, remove the stitches, and return them at the May meeting. The
entire group of stitched and dyed fabric pieces have to be sent on to
the MLH Swatch Coordinator, Mary Underwood, just after the May meeting.
