Happy Holiday!

Message from  Our President Jennifer:
A big thank you to everyone who attended the December meeting for all the work in cooking and handmaking:  the food was fabulous, the ornaments were so beautiful and fascinating to find out about, and sharing our things in the show ‘n tell gave me so many ideas.  It was, as usual, a great evening.

What about having a guild retreat in 2012?  Some of us have talked about a day of spinning, or knitting, or handwork that we can do while we visit with guild friends who we never, NEVER, have enough time to talk to.  We could provide our own food (potluck or brown-bag-it) or have it catered.  We could even have the annual indigo workshop that day—or do something that’s special and different. There is a retreat center in Fennville called The Red Spirit that’s run by Karen Duffin which might be a good place.  Check it out at  Please think about it and let me know your thoughts.

I’m writing this 5 days before Christmas so I’m still in the 2011 holiday mood but still amazed that 2012 is almost upon us and time for another guild meeting.  Please remember that the Jan. 4 meeting depends on if the weather is acceptable for driving, so check your email after 4pm on the 4th to see if the meeting is still going to happen.  If so, we’ll start at 6:30---not 7pm!  Have a wonderful, safe and fun holiday and see you next year!
